Similar in looks to the Scania Goose, this is a much smaller bird, weighing only 7 to 12 pounds (3 to 5 kilos). It is a hardy bird and quite agile on land. These birds are also known to be good mothers.
Their feet are reddish-yellow, bill is orange and eyes are blue-grey. They lay a white egg.
